Captain Ben & Lindsay Moats from Arkansas with huge tarpon she caught.
July 20th
p.s. Hey you stool pidgeon, clueless and lifeless dorks - if this tarpon lying on the sand bothers you, we had boiled sea turtle eggs, barbequed bald eagle poppers and manatee steaks for dinner that night! Call wildlife alert about that!!!!!!! (you know who you are)
I will never remove this picture - it's a matter of principle now!!!!
p.s.s. Try looking at my about us page, where I am walking the tarpon until he swims away. You can see where he is gulping for breath in that picture if you are any bit observant! But being a limp-wristed, mal-content, and an ignoramous - kind of rules-out that! Huh?

Adam (also from Decatur) with a very nice king mackerel. March 31st!
Shane with Big Lemon Shark - Jacob on the Rope - 9/8/11
He almost spooled my 10/0 - which holds about 800 yards of 100lb test!
(spooled means took all my line and kept going)
p.s. Hello again you government tools! Ever try removing a hook from and tagging a 10 foot long pissed-off shark in waist deep water? If not, you are welcome to come on my next shark adventure and try it for yourself! I myself will continue to do it on the beach - as I have for more than 30 years! I have even re-caught two sharks I tagged in this manner, so they appear to be none the worse for it! So mind your own freakin' business, get a life and quit calling wildlife alert on me. I am sorry that I spend most my time on the beach or offshore fishing with cool dudes & beautiful women; and the fact that your job/life is miserable and unfulfilling - don't be a hater!!!!!!!!! Wait a minute - job? What am I talking about? Tree-hugging losers don't work!
And NO - I am not removing any of my pictures until I darn well feel like it! Why don't you go protest on Wallstreet with the rest of the clueless, mis-guided losers?
Intro
Captain Ben's Extreme Charters offers a unique shark fishing experience. Captain Ben has been fishing the waters of Bay and Gulf counties since the seventies and has won and placed in many shark tournaments fishing right off the local beaches. Our prices are very reasonable compared to those offered by other charters. We will beat anyone's price, and offer just as much, and often more fishing action than the expensive offshore trips. Though we specialize in night/shark fishing, visit our Services page to see other adventure packages offered! Also dont forget to read about our methods below!!
How we Do it (Boat)
We drive our 27 foot sportfisher several miles offshore, anchor-up or drift, turn-on the bright lights, and start chumming! Within minutes the boat is usually surrounded by squid and small fish. During this time we often fish for snapper, grouper, king mackerel, cobia and other species and put out a shark bait. You never know what might show-up or what we may catch. These are my favorite trips as they are nearly always excitement filled. As I said before, you never know what might swim-up! And the weather is usually cooler and calmer at night also!
How we do it (Beach)
In addition to fishing out of our 27 foot sportfisherman, we offer adventures fishing from the beach. Depending upon weather conditions, we fish a variety of spots ranging from those reachable by car and the more remote spots reached by boat! “You can’t catch a shark from the beach”, you say? Well we catch many sharks from the beach ranging from a few pounds to several hundred pounds. The secret to catching sharks off of the beach, is to fish areas that are infested with sharks close to the beach, and that are deep close to the shore line. We use a small boat to run the baits out and put the rods in sand spikes and sit back, have a drink or snack and wait!
If you want to sleep on some fancy yacht and be pampered, this trip is not for you! Only tough guys and girls allowed! Sharks are tough customers and they will make memories for you and stories to tell! My boat is no yacht, but it is a tough, oldschool, work horse that is perfect for serious, hard-core fishing.
Use Your Boat
We also offer packages fishing with your boat, lessons for local fishing methods and spots, and teach you local waterways and navigation.
Tagging
We also tag sharks for The National Marine Fisheries. Whatever we tag on your adventure goes down in your name forever, with you listed as the angler in the international data base. You get a chance to help preserve shark populations by assisting scientists in studying their habits, growth and migration patterns.
